As a member of the Georgia Tech Marching Band, I recently travelled to New York City for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, in the occasion of the band's 100th anniversary.

ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI'm a Georgia Tech alumni who was in the band when I attended Tech. I went to New York for Thanksgiving on a group trip sponsered by the Georgia Tech Alumni Association. We stayed in the Crowne Plaza on Times Square and watched the parade march by below us. We had a wonderful view of the parade. You guys looked and sounded great. Afterwards I was walking along the streets of New York in a Ga Tech jacket and got a lot of compliments on the band. On Saturday the group joined up with the New York Georgia Tech Club at a local sports bar to watch our team beat UGA. What a fun week that was for me. I hope it was fun for you also.
