On February 17, 2009, the same day many television stations ended analog transmission, the GT Percussion Ensemble, Percussion Quintet, Concert Band, and Wind Ensemble performed a two hour total concert in the Ferst Center. I am a tuba player in Wind Ensemble. Our r'epertoire included:
Smetana Fanfare - Karel Husa
Folk Dances - Shostakovitch
Southern Harmony - Donald Grantham
This demanding music was a ton of fun to play, and thankfully, seemed to fall together for the concert.
